About BDCIA

BDC Investment Advisors, LLC (“BDCIA”) is controlled by Nicholas Marshi and William (Bill) Hansen.

Mr. Marshi and Mr. Hansen each have over thirty years experience in leveraged finance as lenders, investment bankers and private equity sponsors, and have been investing in the BDC sector on a full time basis for the past two decades.

Nicholas Marshi is the Chief Investment Officer and William Hansen is the Chief Marketing Officer.

BDC Fund II, LP

BDC Fund II, LP (“the Fund”) is a specialized income and capital appreciation oriented US credit fund which invests in the publicly traded securities of Business Development Companies (“BDCs”). The Fund invests in a portfolio of 30–40 different BDC securities – both common stock and fixed income. The Fund enhances its returns by the use of up to $2 of margin borrowing for every $1 of equity invested. The Fund seeks to generate a stable stream of income, enjoy low price volatility and offer investors the option to receive monthly distributions. The Fund seeks to generate above average returns over the long term.

The general partner of the Fund is BDC Investment Advisors, LLC (“BDCIA”), a California limited liability company controlled by Nicholas Marshi and William Hansen. BDCIA is a California registered investment adviser and is responsible for all management decisions on behalf of the Fund and has discretionary trading authority over the Fund’s assets.

Nicholas Marshi

Chief Investment Officer (CIO)

Nicholas Marshi is a co-founder and Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of BDC Investment Advisors, LLC or “BDCIA”. He is responsible for the firm’s investment management. Prior to forming BDCIA, Mr. Marshi was a co-founder and principal of Southland Capital Partners (“SCP”), a Los Angeles based private equity firm. SCP was established in 1998 in Los Angeles, in order to acquire controlling interests in middle market companies in the Southern California region. Prior to forming SCP, Mr. Marshi managed Kensington Capital Corporation (“KCC”), another private-equity firm, with a similar focus. In addition, Mr. Marshi was the head of the Los Angeles firm of Kleinwort Benson, a British merchant bank, from 1987-1990.

William (Bill) Hansen

Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)
Palm Desert, CA

William (Bill) Hansen is a co-founder of BDCIA, and the firm’s Chief Marketing Officer (“CMO”). He is responsible for marketing to accredited investors, performance reporting and investor relations. Prior to co-founding BDCIA in 2008, Bill was also a co-founder of Southland Capital Partners (“SCP”) with Mr. Marshi. Prior to establishing SCP, Mr. Hansen ran Hansen Capital – an investment banking firm in Los Angeles after relocating from New York City.
